The Things are Us, We are the Things

This long-term project deals with the theme of culturally coded objects. Ten mysterious but typical German everyday-life objects were brought to China and vice versa. These objects were temporarily ‘adopted’ by people in the respective foreign country who had their own ideas and imagination about the strange-looking artefacts. Their new interpretations on the things are staged in an installative exhibition – first presented in the “Museum of Applied Arts Frankfurt”. Meanwhile, it has become a travelling exhibition after stations in “Museum of Things Unheard/Museum der unerhörten Dinge” and the “Confucius Institute Berlin”.

Thanks to all participants & supporters of the little things!
