The Cost of militarization

This self-initiated project has arised through the urgent calling for peace and disarmament. The information graphics showing the cost of militarisation are a visual reaction to the German government’s decision to raise the budget for military and defense up to 100 billions in 2022 and to spend up to 2% of the GdP in the future. More weapons bring more threat to our planet. One of the big downsides will be a lack of funding for the real urgent needs like social welfare, education or preventing the big climate crisis. What are the economical dimensions of this decision? Here are some „jaw dropping“ facts and figures in the information graphics.
